03/04/2009On April 17th there will be the water polo draw for the rounds of the World Championships Roma 09
It will take place on April 17th at the Sala Convegni of the Foro Italico . There will be the draw for the tournaments of men and women water polo.
There will be sixteen nations for men and sixteen for women, all intending to take the world title back from Croatia and Usa who, two years ago in Melbourne, prevailed respectively over Hungary and Australia. Eleven nations: Italy, USA, Spain, Hungary, Germany, Canada, Brazil, China, Kazakistan, South Africa and Australia will engage their teams in both tournaments. Hungary (holder of the Olympic World title), USA, Serbia and Montenegro among men and Holland (gold medal in Beijing), USA (winners in Melbourne), Australia and Hungary among women will be the sided teams.
Teams will be divided into four tournaments and the first qualified will access directly to the quarter finals. The second and third qualified teams will compete to access to the quarter finals.
The race toward the world gold is about to start: Settebello and Setterosa have the purpose to turn the roman public on and repeat the success of 1994.
