The VillageRoma09 opens on July the 15th, two days before the beginning of the FINA World Championships, and covers a large area at the Foro Italico, which includes the main competition Venues.
It is designed to be an area with an International flare that exceeds the classic concept of a Village and represents a window on Sports and “Italian Style”.





The VillageRoma09 has an innovative format similar to an Agora in an attempt to stimulate spectators awareness on environmental, social and cultural issues. Such an International Event will involve the public in the Village above and beyond the competition itself.

The VillageRoma09 integrates, in fact, the typical features of the Olympic Village, attended by athletes before and after the competitions, with those of the great “happenings” organized during international events.
