The youngest athlete of Roma09 is 12 and she comes from Tanzania
She’s only 12 and this is evident: her face is sweet, it’s a babyface. She is Gaori Jayesh Kumar Kotecha, she comes from Tanzania, and she’s the youngest athlete who will partecipate in Roma09. Gaori’s specialties are the 50m and 100m backstroke. The girl will be at the earliest opportunity to show herself in an international competition. No hurry to win: she’s only 12. But who knows that she won’t repeat the performance of the Danish Inge Sorensen who won the medal bronze on the 200 breaststroke at the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936, becoming the youngest swimmer to win a medal. She also was 12.
