The President of the 13th FINA World Championships, Giovanni Malagò, and the General Director Roberto Diacetti, presented the Swimming World Championships, that will take place in Rome from July 17th untl August 2nd, at the 72nd Congress of AIPS, the International Sport Press. In this occasion have been also presented the Volleyball World Championships that will take place in 2010. Among the various champions were present also the American Donna De Varona, winner of two gold Olympic medals in Tokyo in 1964 when she was only 17 years old, which declared that coming in Rome for the Swimming World Championships will be a unique emotion.
