It is always the same three teams running for the first place
The second day of the 13th FINA World Championships saw the beginning of the Synchronised Swimming competitions. In the morning the Technical Team preliminaries were disputed by 17 teams.
Impressive performance by Russia, which completed the session at the first position, confirming the forecasts. Also Spain and China, respectively at first and second position, were in shape. Four position for Canadians, followed by Japanese and Italians.
The other teams which will participate to the tomorrow’s final are United States, Ukraine, North Korea, Brazil and Holland.
The wonderful suits need to be underlined (among these the Chinese, the Italian, the Spanish and the Canadian ones stand out for elegance) such as the warmth of the public, that has been prodigal of applauses for all the exhibitions. The daily mess: the Spanish girls had to stop their session because of a technical issue: at half exhibition the music broke off. The eight sincronettes had to repeat their performance half an hour later.
