A good start for Germany, Hungary, Montenegro and Croatia
All the forecasts were respected in the first four Men’s Water Polo matches of the 13th FINA World Championships. The author of the very first goal in the Preliminary Round is the German Moritz Oeler. Oeler is, himself, the best match scorer: Germany inflicts on South Africans an easy KO (14-4).

Easy victory also for the Hungarians who win on Canada with a nine-goals gap: 6-15 the score. Tidy in the defensive phase and unstoppable in the forward one, Hungary gives Canadians a lot of troubles. Among the latter Kevin Grahm’s performance stands out: he’s the author of a poker.

Montenegrin centre-forward Boris Zlokovic does the same in the following Montenegro-China match. The Chinese, even if faster than rivals, can’t outperform the European Champions’ technique and strength.

A flying start also for Croatia: the World Champions win 11-2 over Brazil, getting the first two points in group B. Despite the victory, Ratko Rudic’s boys made several mistakes, scoring too little goals compared to the actions created. To point out two goals by 19-years-old Sandro Sukno.
