28/07/2009MEN’S WATER POLO- Brazil 13th place, Italy failed also against Australia
Brazil and South Africa reached the Men’s Water Polo final matches respectively for 13th and 15th place. During today’s two matches, Brazil won against Macedonia only at penalties, by scoring 16-15 (extra-time closed with 12-12 score) , while South Africa strongly imposed on Kazakhstan (6-5). During the first semifinal played for 9th and 12th place, Montenegro won against China for 13-5. The best Chinese scorer was Yu, while Gojkovic (Montenegro) did the only hat trick of the entire match. Totally useless have been the three consecutive goals made by the Italian team’s captain Alessandro Calcaterra. During the last match of this morning Australia strongly won against Italy (8-6) , so for the Italian team the last thing to do is play well to reach the 11th place. The final match for 9th place will be played between Australia- Montenegro and Italy-China.
