01/08/2008The Championships have already 7.000 winners. We thank the 7.000 volunteers that applied for the 13th FINA World Championships Roma 09.
The Volunteers campaign has been closed yesterday: 2.500 people, men and women of 18 or more years old, will participate and contribute to the success of the 13th FINA World Championships Roma 2009 that will be held in Rome from July 18th and August 2nd of next year.
The Volunteers campaign has been received with enthusiasm.
A lot of young people of 18 years old, but also some 70 years old person, could be the protagonists of one of the most expected sport event of the 2009. We have received more than 7.000 candidatures.
The 60% comes from Lazio Region, than we have people coming from Campania Region, Puglia region and Piemonte Region.
The Volunteers will be for a large part women, since the 61% of the total request represented has been sent by women.
The 59% of the people that have applied are between 20 and 30 years old.
From October to December 2008, there will be the selection phase and in January the list of the 2.500 Volunteers of Roma09 that will participate to the theory and practise training from March to May 2009, will be available online.
