15/08/2008Roma09 at the Italian Embassy in Beijing
On Friday the 15th of August the Organizing Committee of the 13th FINA World Championships Roma09, held a reception at the Italian Embassy, in order to present to the international community in Beijing the great Event foreseen for next year, in July 2009.
Attending the gala dinner the Italian Ambassador in Beijing Mr. Riccardo Sessa, the FINA President Mr. Mustapha Larfaoui, the President of the Organizing Committee Roma09 Mr. Giovanni Malago’, the two vice Presidents Mr. Maurizio Tucci and Prof. Augusto Fantozzi, the General Director Mr. Roberto Diacetti, the President of the Italian Swimming Federation Mr. Paolo Barelli. Also attending all the members of the FINA Bureau, members of the International Olympic Committee, some Presidents of the Italian Sport Federations. Lots of representatives of Chinese societies interested in a future cooperation with the Championships. During the speech the President of the Organizing Committee Mr. Malago’ declared “to be very happy with the organizing activities and how they are proceeding. The presence of the Roma09 delegation at the Olympic Games in Beijing has been very successful and important, since although the two events are different for budget matter and dimension, we had the opportunity to obverse important elements that will be useful for us in the next year.”
