The Italian atlete came in 11th place closing their appearance at the FINA World Championships. In the fight for the 11th place Italy scored 14 -7 against China, thanks to the 5 goals by Aicardi. Mistrangelo also scored 4 points , Giorgetti and Rizzo 2, finishing with 1 by Mangiante.
Montenegro came in 9th place during the final, caught up to Australia and then surpassed them with a fantastic goal by Zlockovic 44’’ before the final whistle scoring 8-7. The first semifinal round for 5th-8th place shows Hungary ahead of Captain Radu’s Romania by a hair. The Hungarians that had the lead during the entire match are now waiting to see who will be the opponent for the fight for 5th place after the match between Canada and Germany.
